2 Journal Entry 1 As I start this course, I have had a restricted earlier encounter with natural science. My past primarily comprised of observing documentaries and making minor, unsuccessful, endeavors to live an eco-friendlier life. In any case, this course marks a noteworthy move in my approach, where I'll get a more profound look into natural science. I aim to pick up an understanding of basic challenges, such as climate alter, misfortune of biodiversity, and asset exhaustion, and investigate their interconnection. In any case, there are concerns. For instance, I'm stressed that the course material might end up being really complex, particularly if we explore technical aspects like carbon cycles and biological frameworks. Also, given the scale of natural problems like deforestation and habitat destruction, I fear it could be overwhelming. I already feel overwhelmed and confused by many of the search instructions and it's only the first week. To address these concerns, I plan to stay organized, seek help from teachers or classmates when needed, and constantly remind myself how important it is to understand these things. The first week of the course was truly eye-opening. It made me realize that indeed our apparently unimportant day by day activities can collectively make an enormous distinction within the world. What I remembered most was calculating
3 our ecological footprint. It was shocking to see the data and how much I contribute to different natural issues, such as water utilization. The realization it brought was both shocking and disturbing. I never expected this activity to be enjoyable, but it turned out to be one of the most enlightening experiences of the week. Be that as it may, as we move into the next week, my concern is with the up and coming lab assignments, particularly the lab report composing. I have never had to compose a paper that incorporates graphs and other visual components. As a visual learner, I regularly depend on examples to understand how to properly format and present my work, so this demonstrated to be a bit of a challenge. On the other hand, I am very excited after receiving the lab package. I look forward to learning more through access of hands-on experience, although the paper is causing some tension right now. Here are five easy and realistic lifestyle changes I can commit to making: 1. Reduce Water Waste 2. Switch to LED Bulbs 3. Use Reusable Shopping Bags 4. Unplug Electronics 5. Meatless Meals
