Hello, my name is Alexis Smith and I currently live in Chicago, Illinois with my 2-year-old son who is
my pride and joy. I received my bachelor's in law enforcement and justice Administration back in 2017
Western Illinois University which is college 4 hours from Chicago. I am currently enrolled in the master's
program and in my third quarter and very excited about cominting to succeed in the program.
What you hope to gain from this course?
I hope to gain a better understanding of human behavior and how it is shaped by our environment, our
experiences, and our beliefs. I also hope to gain a deeper insight why certain people gain different
behaviors while others don't. With this increased knowledge, I hope to be able to make better decisions
and be more successful in my interactions with others. I want to have the ability to identify the causes of
different behaviors and be able to develop strategies to change them if necessary. I will be able to better
understand how my behavior affects others and how my decisions can influence outcomes. With this
knowledge, I will be able to make better decisions and be more successful in my interactions with others.
Two elements or aspects of your current social environment that influence you and how they
influence you.
Two elements of my current social environment that influence me are the media and the people
around me. The media influences the way I think about the world and how I view certain topics.
The media gives me access to information from a variety of sources, which allows me to form my
own opinions based on facts. While the people around me influence my opinions and perspectives
of others. The people I interact with, can shape the way I think about the world as a whole and how
I interact with the people in it. They provide personal examples and experiences that can influence
my decisions and behavior.
