OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to: 1. Differentiate the Family code between Conjugal Partnership Gains and Absolute Community of Property 2. Recognize the privilege given by the Family code and; 3. Write the difference between Conjugal Partnership Gains and Absolute Community of Property. II. SUBJECT MATTER: The Family Code: Property Relations Between Husband and Wife Topic: Explain the salient provisions in the Family Code: Property relations between husband and wife. References: Learning Activity Sheet for LS5: Scientific and Critical Thinking Skills for A&E Junior High School Level Materials: Visual Aids, Label Paper, and worksheets Duration: Forty (40) minutes Value Aim - Socio-emotional Learning (SEL) Focus: Awareness, Cooperation III. PROCEDURES: A. Review/Motivation The teacher will ask the learners about the previous discussion. She will ask who among the class already married or live-in. 1. What are the things that both of you purchased and labeled the two of you as owners? 2. How about things or property you already own before the marriage? 3. Did your partner have been using or talking about those things or property? 4. Someday when you get married do you want your property own by you or you want to make your partner as co-owner? B. Activity The learners will stand-up in the middle of the covered court. Did you find the activity easy? Did you find the activity difficult? D. Abstraction/Generalization Let the learners read the notes and carefully decipher the words in simplest way. Inform the learners that there are two (2) types of properly relations Provide an example of stating the difference between Conjugal Partnership Gains and Absolute Community of Property by presenting a situation in class. Have the learners analyze the given situation. E. Application Write the difference between Conjugal Partnership Gains and Absolute Community of Property. Write your answer in the chart. F. Evaluation Directions: Write TRUE if the statement is correct and write FALSE if the statement is wrong. 1. Conjugal partnership gains means that all properties acquired before marriage retain its ownership. 2. Spouses become co-owners of all the properties including those acquired prior to the marriage are Absolute Community of Property. 3. In Conjugal partnership gains the acquired valuables during marriage must be split in 60% for husband and 40% for wife. 4. While the Absolute Community of property, only the acquired valuables during the marriage will be equally split. 5. The Family Code: Property Relations between Husband and Wife will start when the couple hit 5 years of marriage. IV.
