For Jeff Gonsales: "Can celebrities and other radio shows using your platform also use Spotify or Apple Podcasts or are they only disclosed to you" And lastly I asked all the speakers at the end, "Where do we apply for an internship". Top 5 issues brought up: It's important to be your own advocate on the job and speak up if something needs to be said or addressed because a boss might not be aware of the efforts you're putting in and it shows that you care about what you're doing, a mentor on the job can help become a better employee because helping others will help themselves be better as well, there might be people out there who are always watching and taking notes of the good or bad you might be doing, the Star Tribune mentioned that the digital world keeps growing and that people prefer digital over traditional 70% to 30% but they will still keep printing traditionally as they have for 150 years, and that there can also be complications from working remotely or at home. I was most impressed with Tammy from Skyflow because of how she has grown herself. She's from a small town in Minnesota and is now in Silicon Valley which she mentioned is home to 81 billionaires. This is her 4th start up and it doesn't seem like she's slowing down anytime soon. Something I learned: I learned about how valuable it can be to take advantage of any opportunities you're given in the workplace. It doesn't matter if you're an intern, temp, part-time, or a trainee, people are always watching you. All the speakers except Jeff (Audacy doesn't have an internship at the moment) talked about how their internships are a big factor into the hiring role. They take you on as an intern because they like what you have on paper, but once they actually see you doing a good job in person, you are far more likely to be hired by them instead of someone just turning in a resume. Also, even if you don't want to work for the company it's a good network or recommendation outlet to have when looking for the career you want.
