Reflection Prompts 1. How did you utilize the child's verbal and nonverbal cues to modify your approach, timing, or engagement? Children who could not walk reached up to be picked back up to be put on the slide. Children would point to the ball when they wanted the ball but would not want to roll the ball down the slide. 2. How well did you manage to create opportunities to implement Activities? I brought a basket of balls and invited the children over to look and see what was inside of the basket before showing them how to roll them down the slide. There were a variety of sizes, weights, and shapes for them to choose from. 3. How well did you implement management practices from Bailey's Managing Emotional Mayhem/Self-Regulation? When two children wanted the same ball that had the scarves in it, I showed them there was another ball with scarves. They still wanted the same ball. So I had them both sit on the ground and showed them that there was more than one scarf to pull from the ball. 4. What servant leadership qualities did you demonstrate with your provider, family, and/or infant/toddlers? With the provider, I was organized and ready to implement my lesson and was in control of any behavior issues that occurred. With children, I played at their eye level and encouraged them to join in. 5. How did you collaborate with your provider or families to support children's development and learning? I asked the classroom teacher what they were working on before I planned the activities. They had been working on sharing and taking turns going down the slide. They also have been working on gross motor skills of climbing. Activity #5: _____ Implemented __X __ Not Implemented; If so, provide brief rationale. Ran out of time to do this activity, as the children were engaged in the other activities and then lunch. Summary of Quantitative Analysis: Summary of Qualitative Analysis:
