WEEK 7 BLOG This week's readings engaged with creative industries and careers within them. Although the creative industries contribute significantly to the Australian economy, the difficulties of building a sustainable careers in these industries remain challenging. Further, existing workers within these industries are challenged to build self management skills whilst also dealing with the straining nature of their jobs. The reading also mentioned networking as a critical element towards career success. I really enjoyed reading the readings for week 11 and noted many points for my own career development. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend our last class for the semester due to being sick for many days prior. Although I was unable to attend the class, I looked at the class activities and attempted them on my own. I reviewed my own LinkedIn information and profile, allowing for improvements to be made. I improved on my self introduction and layout of my CV.
