HOW ART PERTAINS TO ARCHITECTURE 2 How art Pertains to Architecture Analytical Essay Art and architecture are inseparable disciplines as they are both expressive of the people's culture and aesthetic preferences. Architecture and art share a robust bond exemplified in aesthetic features, organizing principles, and sensory engagement. Both fields have visual meanings that are simultaneously expressive and communicative. Both disciplines play a complementary collaboration role in enhancing the beauty or functionality of a design, structure, or work of art. Art is the expression of imaginative skills in visual form in the making of works such as drawings, paintings, sculptures, ceramics, graphics, or textile designs (Peterss & Olabode, 2018). Architecture on the other hand involves designing structures, buildings, open areas, or artificial constructions, paying special regard to functionality and aesthetic effect of the design. Architecture and art are inextricable and complimentary to each other. What role does art play in architectural design within the context of cultural experiences? How does art and architecture combine to establish visual appeal and achieve functional expectations? Art and architecture have outlasted several centuries, coexisting as mediums for visual expressiveness, reflecting stylistic, cultural, and technological transformations within societies. Art and architecture express the cultural lived experiences of the people. Architectural expression combines the art's creative process and the design's imitative or original forms to create a design with visual stimulus, aesthetic value and utility that resonates with the cultural tenets of the individuals or community. Architectural design harnesses visual stimuli to uncover underlying artistic creativity. Prosen (2021) asserts that developments in architecture mirrored those of the prevailing social, cultural, and economic phenomena. The Serbian architecture was embedded in the spirit of contemporary aestheticism that adopted to the local taste of the people, which was expressed through various sophisticatedly designed stylistic elements of applied arts such as wall paintings, mosaic, stained glass, locksmith work, sculpture, furniture, interior design, and façade composition (Prosen, 2021). These artistic styles conveyed the clients' taste, creative sensibilities, and identity. The artistic installations charm bodily exploration based on individual preferences for artistic acumen while experiencing the interaction of creative styles within space. Architecture is a delicate balance between functionality and beauty where form and purpose converge. Architecture ensures that a building or structure becomes more than just masonry work but a work of art resonating with the identities and preferences of its inhabitants. Art provides a platform through which creative skills are rendered in visual form through sculpture, drawings, or paintings. Architecture enables the utilization of creative applied art in rendering visually attractive and culturally expressive architectural design styles. Architecture and art have cultural tenets that emerge from cultural experiences of the society in question. Art enables people to communicate and express their feelings, attitudes, thoughts, and perceptions towards issues in their lived experiences. Art is indispensable in
