6.0 Conclusion Boeing Company is a competitive aircraft manufacturing organisation. The business develops military airlines and commercial planes. However, the company encountered outsourcing challenges, significantly affecting the 787 Dreamliner development process. As a result, the company experienced delays in product delivery to customers and cost overruns. The project was a success based on engineering, consumer, and economic viewpoints. 787 Boeing Dreamliner was an innovative commercial aircraft giving consumers the best flight experience giving travelling companies a competitive advantage. However, from a project management perspective, the project failed due to delays and redesigning costs. Proper supply chain management, all cost assessments before outsourcing, effective coordination mechanisms, advanced risk assessment, and strict project progress control could help project managers avoid such risks.
