Introduction: As a globally connected organization in the food sector, Fair Food New Zealand needs a quality management system (QMS), which will be the subject of the recommendations made in this study. This research will also identify and examine two areas of legal compliance that apply to businesses in the sector, and it will present policies and processes to achieve compliance. Both aspects will be covered in this paper. In addition, real-world instances of businesses that have failed to satisfy the stated legal compliance's will be reviewed using the suggested policies and procedures to determine whether there are any deficiencies. Recommendation for a Quality Management System : We strongly suggest that Fair Food New Zealand adopt the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS). ISO 9001 is a standard that is recognized all over the world and focuses on ensuring that customers' needs are met while also emphasizing continual improvement and effective risk management. Fair Food New Zealand can increase customer happiness, assure consistency in its operations, and show its commitment to quality to consumers and partners throughout the world by putting its quality management system (QMS) into place (Gremyr et al., 2021). The organization's legitimacy and marketability may be improved even further by the acquisition of external certification from a credible certifying authority. Legal Compliance 1: Health and Safety The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 requires Fair Food New Zealand to comply with its provisions. This piece of law details the duty of care that employers owe to their staff members, independent contractors, and end users (WorkSafe, 2023). Regular workplace inspections, staff training on health and safety protocols, incident reporting and investigation processes, and the development of a health and safety committee should all be included as 3
