Explain how police administrators use comparative analysis for decision-making. How does comparative analysis support the decision-making of the management team? Police supervisors can use comparative analysis to observe data and statistics. The process can be used to compare their department with other agencies. They can see if specific trends are common in other places. It is an excellent tool to use when making decisions in law enforcement (Verhulst & Rutkowski, 2018). Police administrators should use comparative analysis to improve management approaches. The comparative analysis enhances decision- making using task-related problem-solving (Verhulst & Rutkowski, 2018). Decision-making can be assessed on the prediction of many outcomes. They were making good decisions on processing, data structuring, and problem-solving. Comparative analysis shows a goal-driven cognitive process to understand the coordinated interactions of many entities. When police administrators make decisions, they can use this analysis to apply logic, expertise, and experiences to make good decisions (Verhulst & Rutkowski, 2018). Good decision-making is a process that has many complexities. Structure is a crucial element in making decisions in a group. It is essential to have a cooperative environment to make effective decisions. Verhulst, M. & Rutkowski, A. (2018). Decision-Making in the Police Work Force: Affordances Explained in Practice. Group Decis Negot 27, 827-852. https://doi.org/10.1007/s10726- 018-9587-5
