2 The Role of an IT Leader in digital transformation How IT professionals and leaders can transform their thinking to adapt to the constantly changing organizational climate In the current digital world, IT leaders are responsible for transforming their thinking to adapt to the constantly changing organizational climate. These leaders must be more innovative to come up with solutions, mainly to keep up with the various changes in the market (Langer, 2017). The IT leaders must explore new ideas externally and continually consider integrating new aspects to implement the needs of the company's consumers effectively. Moreover, IT leaders must have dynamic interactions with their employees and business teams; this allows them to have numerous layers of communication of practice, thus will enable them to communicate efficiently within the organization and seek different ways to adapt and respond to the constantly changing organizational culture. Furthermore, IT leaders are responsible for developing quality requirements within the organization. This is essential due to the increasing complexities of technology on applications; thus, to keep in equilibrium with the S-Curve, leaders must establish a balance between quality and production. These leaders will be required to provide competitive solutions to give their products a sense of market needs (Langer, 2017). Another role of the IT leaders is ensuring to enhance continuous developments and application analysis and design this will allow their products to develop to maturity continually. Also, leaders are expected to prepare their people to help lead change effectively; with an agile workplace culture, leaders are responsible for fundamentally altering their approach to change management to develop an adaptable work culture. Methods leaders can use to enhance their change attitude.
3 On the other hand, leadership plays a critical role in the changing organization culture; they are responsible for causing a ripple effect on employee recruitment, engagement and performance, eventually contributing to a significant impact on the organization's performance. Leaders are responsible for setting an organization's mission and empowering employees to achieve the mission. They are accountable for establishing a foundation of company culture and play an essential role in changing it when it needs to be changed (Yusnita et al., 2021). Moreover, since technology causes disruptions in the organization, business leaders are faced with challenges in trying to understand how these disruptive techniques might impact their business. Due to this, IT leaders must utilize different methodologies to enhance change in their attitudes concerning technological advancements. The IT leaders must effectively engage and participate in training courses or workshops on the latest technologies, including artificial intelligence and machine learning. Also, these leaders must develop a network of peers and mentors who can provide guidance and support as they effectively navigate changes in technology. These leaders must also create an environment emphasizing flexibility and encouraging experimentation with new technology (Yusnita et al., 2021). They must use online resources, including blogs, websites and online classes, to stay current on the latest technology trends. Another technique they must embrace is being open to new ideas and problem-solving approaches; they should also have an open mind and maintain a positive attitude towards change. Lastly, leaders need to leverage existing technologies to create innovative solutions within the organization successfully.
