I did not know there were two separate forms of small pox, I thought they were all severe cases but some people were luckier than others when it comes quite a while in someone's body or on their skin post-mortem (p.201). I never even thought about the fact that the disease could still infect other people even through a dead person's body. One could assume since the vessel is dead, so is the disease, but to my surprise this was not the case. Chinese blew powdered smallpox scabs into their noses (p.206). Somehow, they were unaffected. This is crazy if you think about it, even that long ago they were figuring out how to give "vaccinations" to try to create preventative care. I didn't know they tried this for small pox. 2
