Written Assignment Unit 1 Nazmus Sakib University of people BUS-4402-01 Alex Lapshun (Instructor)
I formerly worked for a charity organization, therefore I'll be fusing that knowledge with what I've learned here to do this assignment. I clearly recall a situation where I was tasked with negotiating a contract on behalf of this NGO with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. My initial plan was to identify the individuals I would be engaging in this negotiation with in order to better prepare myself for what to say and do. I referred back to the fact that I had the information I needed about these people and had conducted the negotiation ethically at the conclusion. Give a rational, well-thought-out summary of the ethical decision-making procedures you would follow in international organizations, the food industry, and the clothing industry. In this situation, I will be interacting with people from all walks of life, and the only way to get along with them is to know everything there is to know about them beforehand. Going into a meeting unprepared is a recipe for disaster, so I will make sure to conduct my research on them in an ethical manner in order to have an open and natural conversation. Dealing with persons from high-context cultures will require me to have the understanding necessary to recognize that these people care more about one another, their methods of doing things, how they value relationships, and communication that aims to validate their feelings. On the other side, I have a set of individuals from low context cultures that approach things directly and with a strong sense of individuality. I can now make a choice that will be in the best interests of the organization I am serving after recognizing the challenges I will have to deal with.2017; organizational behavior. Would it be ethical to reject recommendations from low-context members even if they are advantageous to the organization? Give an explanation and examples. Making choices that will benefit everyone, especially the interests of those we serve, is the main reason everyone has gathered here. Therefore, depending on what is offered and what the advantages are, judgments made by low-context members may or may not be rejected. For instance, a person from the United States who joins a company and attempts to make a choice that is in line with his interests and morals but would benefit the company must also take into account the opinions of other individuals, especially when the decision is being made from an individualistic standpoint.
