The House of Disciples (HOD) Life Recovery Center seeks to disciple men with life-controlling problems. To help them function as a Christian in society while applying spiritually motivated biblical principles to their families, local church, chosen vocation, and the community. HOD endeavors to help individuals become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive. Our purpose is to fulfill Matthew 25 & Isaiah 58 by making disciples who know Christ, share Christ, and multiply Christ in the lives of others. The mission of Wiseman Ministries is to fulfill Matthew 25 & Isaiah 58 by providing: food to the hungry; clothing to the needy; shelter to the homeless; ministry to those in prison and liberty to those controlled by addictions. Daily Schedule: Monday Thursday: 5:30 a.m. wake up/coffee 5:45 a.m. Morning Meditation/one hour 6:45 a.m. Breakfast 7:00 am. chores 7:45 a.m. Class/Delegated by phases 8:45 a.m. 4:00 p.m. - Work Therapy 5:30 p.m. Dinner/Kitchen clean up 6:30/7:00 p.m. Evening class/Delegated by phases 9:00 p.m. Pray out/Quiet time Lights out: Sunday Thursday/9:00 p.m. Friday Saturday/ 12:00 p.m.
There is an initial 30-day blackout period when the client enters the program in which the client will not be able to have contact with anyone who is not in the program/no one will be able to contact the client from outside the program. This allows the client to better acclimate to the rules and guidelines. The blackout period also allows the client to evaluate their personal relationships with God, family, and others. The period also allows the client to search their heart and evaluate whether they are truly dedicated to completing the program. There are three phases in the program each consisting of four months and clients will be evaluated on completion of each phase to assess their eligibility to move to the next phase. We look forward to helping any client that is considering joining our Life Recovery Program and we will be prompt in answering any questions you may have concerning the program. Identification papers and a background check are required. Currently, applicants are not eligible for admission who: Are registered sex-offenders Have Felony Aggravated charges in the last 5 years Have major medical conditions that require a doctor's care Have mental disorders that require a doctor's care / or medication Have violent tendencies. We must protect the safety of our staff and residents. If you are eligible, an interview will be conducted. We accept any man who is willing to abide by and adhere to our rules, regulations, and bylaws and live under the direction and guidance prescribed in the Bible. Applicants must be cleared-headed upon entering the program.
